iTs|SC to host Executive Speaker Series featuring Robert Hartwig

iTs|SC, Columbia’s Insurance Technology & Services Cluster, will be hosting its next Executive Speaker Series on December 7th from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at the IT-oLogy Auditorium.

This session will feature Robert Hartwig and his presentation, “New President, New Policies: Changes to Anticipate in the World of Insurance.” Dr. Hartwig is the former President of the Insurance Information Institute and is now with the Moore School of Business, Risk and Insurance Management.

Dr. Hartwig is also the Clinical Associate Professor of Finance and Co-Director of the Center for Risk and Uncertainty Management. His research focuses on insurance markets and structures, risk management, risk-bearing capital market instruments, the financing of technology risks and venture capital in insurance markets.

His professional experience includes expert witness testimony and testimony before numerous Congressional and state legislative committees. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) credential and speaks frequently in the media on all issues related to insurance markets.

An event open to the public, the Executive Speaker Series presentation with Dr. Hartwig also offers a free networking opportunity with a light breakfast for those in attendance.
