JetBlue celebrates 1M passenger boarding at Charleston International Airport

JetBlue, the low-cost carrier that came to Charleston amid great fanfare in 2013, today surpassed 1 million passengers enplaned at Charleston International Airport.
In celebration, the airline treated customers on Flight 1274 to New York City to refreshments at the boarding gate, gifts upon boarding and inflight bingo for the chance to win two pairs of travel certificates. Flight 1274 is the aircraft that sent JetBlue over the 1 million enplanements mark. Enplanements are people boarding a departing flight at CHS.
JetBlue began service at Charleston International in February 2013. The airline, which is celebrating its fifth year at CHS in 2018, currently flies nonstop to Washington, D.C., Fort Lauderdale, New York City and Boston.
“We are very excited to reach this milestone in Charleston,” said Nicky Tesser, southeast regional marketing manager for JetBlue. “Charleston’s unique charm and hospitality perfectly complements the excellent customer experience that JetBlue delivers on a daily basis. We look forward to connecting a million more travelers to this southern gem.”
Charleston International Airport and the Charleston County Aviation Authority joined JetBlue in celebrating on Friday.
