Jim Hudson Lexus to celebrate women entrepreneurs

Jim Hudson Lexus, Columbia will host a reception for the Columbia chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), an international peer advisory group for million dollar plus women-led companies, on Thursday, September 8th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. The event, which will be held at the dealership, 328 Killian Road, celebrates the growing impact that WPO members, who are successful women-owned and led businesses, have had on the economy of South Carolina.
The growing power of women’s businesses and its profound impact on the economy has not received the attention it deserves. Women-owned/led middle market companies generate combined revenues of more than $743 billion and were collectively responsible for more than 6.4 million jobs in 2014.
WPO recently released the ninth annual ranking of the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies™, in partnership with American Express. This year’s list generated a combined $4.96 billion in 2015 revenues (mean of $99.2 million) and collectively employed 44,744 in 2015 (mean of 1,028).
