Jindal Films America selects O’Neal for Georgia film plant

O’Neal, Inc., an integrated design and construction firm, has been selected to provide Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) services for Jindal Films America (JFA) LLC for their biaxially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP) line in LaGrange, Ga. This project is a $180 million investment that will create 240 new jobs.

JFA, an industry leader in the development and manufacture of specialty BOPP films, is relocating its US Research and Development (R&D) Center and its national headquarters to its LaGrange, Ga. facility.
“We believed O’ Neal was the perfect partner for our project. Their combination of experience and service, combined with a commitment to cost containment made them the EPC of choice,” said Mike Bailey, Jindal Films’ commercial development director.
As part of the investment, there will be an overall footprint development including additional orientation, metalizing, coating and slitting capabilities. A world-class 10.5m orientation line will be installed by winter of this year, increasing capacity by more than 50,000 tons per year and further improving production flexibility. The Metallizer is expected to start-up in fall of this year and will add 10,000 tons of metallization capacity.
