Business Development Manager
August 26, 2021FUEL, a Greenville, S.C. based marketing and advertising agency, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the team. As a team, we’re committed to reaching our fullest potential, and our Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a crucial role in that journey. Our BDM will know FUEL’s services and differentiators better than anyone, and act as the primary point-of-contact for new prospective clients. Responsible for generating leads, developing new opportunities, and helping FUEL grow, the BDM drives and manages multiple new business initiatives, including inbound and outbound lead generation and nurturing, qualification, research, response, management of CRM and database, and sales asset creation. The BDM has a compelling sales personality and a hunger to chase and close new business as well as a talent for understanding clients and delivering optimum value for them and the agency. A strategic thinker, the BDM is both innovative and analytical, and extremely passionate about marketing’s role in business success. This role is directly responsible for generating new revenue for the agency and reports directly to the president.
Expectations:
– Researches organizations and individuals to find new business opportunities
– Generates, pursues, and closes new business leads and opportunities to drive new revenue for the agency
– Manages all communication and status in the company’s CRM
– Develops proposals for clients and leads in new business meetings
– Develops goals for sales and business growth and ensures they are met
– Plans and oversees new marketing initiatives for agency; participates in development of lead nurturing and other campaigns designed to support and drive new business
– Attends conferences, meetings, and industry events
– Possesses strong subject matter expertise in business and strategic marketing, with experience in both traditional and digital marketing

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
– Minimum of five years of proven experience in sales and marketing
– Experience in an agency environment a plus
– Experience with HubSpot a plus
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
– Excellent organizational skills
– Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
