Reporting to the Executive Director of Greenville Programs, the Director of Recruitment and Marketing’s responsibilities include planning and implementing recruiting events for the USC Upstate Greenville campus and attendance at other local recruiting events and marketing representing the USC Upstate Greenville campus. The Director develops and implements marketing strategies for the Greenville campus, including the management of the communication plan, production of promotional materials, and management of the Greenville campus website and social media outlets. The Director acts as a liaison between the Greenville campus and various other internal departments (e.g. admissions, marketing) as well as external stakeholders and will maintain a working knowledge of Upstate Greenville’s unique opportunities and learning environment.

  • Plan and execute recruiting events for the Greenville campus for all programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional development learning opportunities.
  • Attend and represent USC Upstate Greenville at other local recruiting events both for general populations and niche populations such as transfer students, adult learners, and other underrepresented populations.
  • Participate in recruitment focused on admissions events and enrollment activities.
  • Determine and implement methods to continue communication with prospective students met through recruiting activities.
  • Serve as a liaison with USC Upstate campus departments, including but not limited to University Communications and Public Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Students Affairs and Academic Support to communicate and coordinate strategies, messaging, and projects during students’ pre-enrollment process.
  • Develop and carry out marketing strategies for the Greenville campus, including the management of the communication plan, production of promotional materials, and management of the Greenville campus website and social media outlets, ensuring that all communications and informative and engaging.
  • Assist as a liaison between the Greenville campus and various other internal departments (e.g. admissions, marketing) as well as external stakeholders and will maintain a working knowledge of Upstate Greenville’s unique opportunities and learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 2 years professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material, or bachelor’s degree and 4 years related experience. A good driving record, valid driver’s license and successful background check are required.

Local travel to the main campus in Spartanburg and other area locations will sometimes be required. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in field related to job duties and at least two years related experience.

Salary:
$52,357 – $70,000; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
