Kelly Gabriel named principal of Berkeley Elementary School

Kelly Gabriel has been named the new principal of Berkeley Elementary School located in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. The Berkeley County School Board approved the appointment at their meeting on Tuesday, September 13. Gabriel will begin her new assignment on Thursday, September 15.
“I feel truly blessed and honored to have this opportunity,” said Kelly Gabriel. “I am excited, and I look forward to working with the wonderful staff, students, parents, and community members at Berkeley Elementary School (BES). Together we will continue to make BES an amazing place to learn and grow.”
Gabriel has invested 18 years in public education, beginning her career as a fourth grade teacher in North Charleston, SC. In 2000, Gabriel joined Berkeley County as a fourth grade teacher at Boulder Bluff Elementary and, in 2010, was named the Title 1 Facilitator and Curriculum Coach at H.E. Bonner Elementary. Gabriel has served as the assistant principal at H.E. Bonner Elementary for the past four years.
