Kershaw Co. Sheriff’s Foundation Announces 2015 Board Openings

October 19, 2014

KERSHAW COUNTY, SC – The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Foundation (KCSF) Board of Directors will have open seats in 2015 and the public is invited to apply if interested in serving on the KCSF board.

The KCSF is a 501(c) 3 charitable organization established to support the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office. Board members meet quarterly and work on foundation projects throughout the year.

“The Sheriff’s Foundation is only four years old, but we’ve already raised more than more than $70,000 for law enforcement,” said Rajena Miles, Chair of the KCSF Board. “With the help of citizens across our county we’ve outfitted every deputy with a bullet-proof vest, purchased video cameras for patrol cars, and this year we will provide a free, annual physical to every sworn officer. That is a tremendous team effort.”

KCSF board members are not required to have served in law enforcement to be on the board. Board members just need to have a heart for supporting the men and women who work to protect the public. Board members serve a two-year term.

Please mail or email Chairman Rajena Miles if you are interested in serving. Please include:

    • Your name
    • Your mailing address, phone number and email address if available; and
    • A brief explanation of why you would like to serve.

Applications must be received by Monday, Nov. 10th at 5 pm. Mail or email them to:
