Laurens County Non-Profit Grant Application Process Opens for First Year

July 23, 2024

Laurens County Council recently announced the opening of the Special Appropriation Grant application process for non-profit entities within the county. This is the first year of this new initiative, which opens financial support from the county budget to qualifying organizations that wish to apply.

In previous years, the County Council supported only a select few organizations. However, this updated process aims to foster greater inclusivity and ensure a wider array of non-profits can benefit from county resources.

Non-profits can access the grant application here or pick up a physical copy at the Laurens County Administration Building located at 100 Hillcrest Square. All completed applications must be submitted by Friday, August 30, 2024.

County Council Chairman Brown Patterson expressed his enthusiasm for the expanded support of local non-profits through this program. “We are proud to offer this grant opportunity, allowing any organization that qualifies to be considered for funding that would support their essential work. Our non-profits are the backbone of community providing such great resources in Laurens County, and we are committed to helping them thrive,” said Patterson.

The application process officially began on Monday, July 1, 2024. Non-profit entities are encouraged to apply early and ensure all required documentation is included to facilitate a smooth review process.
