Lexington Craft Beerfest brings 1,400 to Icehouse Amphitheater

October 19, 2017

The second Lexington Craft Beerfest, hosted by the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center, brought 1,400 to the Icehouse Amphitheater Saturday evening to experience craft beers from across the nation.

Festivalgoers had the opportunity to sample more than 120 craft beers, double the variety from the event’s first year, while enjoying cuisine from local restaurants and live music by Motown beach band Fantasy.

Town of Lexington Mayor Steve MacDougall congratulated the Chamber on a job well done. “Once again the Lexington Craft Beerfest was a huge success,” said MacDougall. “Participants were able to see first-hand our state-of-the-art Icehouse Amphitheater and why it was named the 2017 Municipal Association of SC Achievement Award Winner.”

The festival was the first major event to be hosted at the Icehouse Amphitheater, the newest project under the Town of Lexington Vision Plan.

The Greater Lexington Chamber would like to thank the Lexington Police Department and Checker Yellow Cab for helping patrons find safe transportation from the festival and encouraging guests to drink responsibly.

The Lexington Craft Beerfest was sponsored by Lowe’s Foods, FOX 102.3, Q93.5 and ESPN Columbia 94.9 FM and 1230 AM, Rock 99.7, Lexington Medical Center, BB&T, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, SCANA, The SEFA Group, Michelin and Prysmian Group.

Special thanks to AR Worshop Lexington and Artvark Creative for providing promotional support for this event.
