Lexington District One names McNair Meadow Glen Elementary principal

During the March 5, 2019 meeting of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees, the board promoted Jennifer Williams McNair to the position of principal of Meadow Glen Elementary School effective July 1, 2019.
McNair replaces Cheryl Fralick, who retires at the end of this year.
Superintendent Greg Little, Ed.D., said, “Mrs. McNair is an experienced leader at both the elementary and high school level. That experience will enable MGES to continue to move forward in the future. Her background in language immersion schools as well as her instructional expertise make her an ideal fit for the school.”
With 23 years of educational experience, McNair currently serves as assistant principal at Pleasant Hill Elementary School. As an instructional leader there, she serves as professional learning coordinator, a Response to Intervention team member, Parent Teacher Association administrative liaison and testing coordinator. She collaborates with a literacy coach and a mathematics coach to design meaningful professional learning, and leads an inquiry cycle data analysis process at PHES.
Before moving to PHES as a resident member of the district’s current Aspiring Principal Academy, she served as assistant principal at White Knoll High School for 14 years and assistant principal at Hollywood Elementary School for three years.
Before that, she taught mathematics and served as department chair at both White Knoll High and White Knoll Middle schools.
McNair, a 2014 finalist for the South Carolina Association of School Administrators’ assistant principal of the year, helped schools win a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence and Red Carpet School awards.
She received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of South Carolina-Coastal and a Master of Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. She holds certifications in mathematics and both elementary and secondary supervision (principal), and memberships in the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
