Lexington Medical Center welcomes Patrice L. High, DO

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – Lexington Medical Center is pleased to welcome Patrice L. High, DO, to its network of care at Palmetto Family Medicine. She joins the board-certified physicians, physician assistant and nurse practitioner at the practice to provide comprehensive care to patients in Northeast Columbia.

“I am looking forward to joining the Lexington Medical Center family at Palmetto Family Medicine and resuming my practice in Northeast Columbia, where I have spent most of my 15-year medical career,” said Dr. High.

cum laude graduate of Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Dr. High earned her osteopathic medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She then completed a family medicine internship and residency at Community Hospital of Lancaster in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. High is certified in family medicine by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. She also has additional certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support. She is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association and the South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society, among other organizations.

Dr. High’s special interests include preventive care, diabetes management, and women’s health and life development. She most recently worked at a community health center in Lugoff.
