Lockhart Power names Andrena Powell-Baker Senior Manager of Community Relations and Development

Lockhart Power Company is pleased to welcome Andrena Powell-Baker as senior manager of community relations and development. Her responsibilities will include fostering community relations and actively participating in development opportunities for Lockhart Power and other Pacolet Milliken entities.

 

“We are excited to welcome Andrena aboard,” said Bryan Stone, chief operating officer of Lockhart Power. “Andrena brings more than 25 years of business development and marketing experience which will be beneficial to Pacolet Milliken and Lockhart Power’s next phases of growth. She will be an excellent addition to our team, and we are pleased to have her join us.”

 

Powell-Baker is a South Carolina Certified Economic Developer and previously worked as the executive director of the Union County Development Board, a public sector economic development organization. In this role, she worked closely with all levels of elected officials, industry and community leaders, the South Carolina Department of Commerce, site selection consultants and private economic development partners on national and international industrial projects and community endeavors.  As executive director at the Union County Development Board, she was also the lead negotiator for industrial development initiatives resulting in more than $300 million in capital investment and nearly 1,000 new jobs for Union County.

 

Powell-Baker received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Winthrop University. Among her many career achievements, she was the recipient of the Achieveglobal Partnership Development Award, the South Carolina Commission for the Blind Innovation Award, the Who’s Who Among American Women and was named Girl Scouts Woman of Achievement. Additionally, she is on the board of directors for the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association.
