Mansfield named to Beryl Institute Nurse Executive Council

Jerry Mansfield, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, MUSC Health Executive Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Patient Experience Officer, has been named a member of the newly established Beryl Institute Nurse Executive Council (NEC), which is comprised of senior nurse leaders across the country. Formally launched in late 2017, the NEC is comprised of a diverse network of innovative and visionary nurse executives who will work collaboratively with the Institute to develop strategies for nurse leader engagement in the broader patient experience movement as well as inform the efforts of the Institute. The NEC will hold its first in-person meeting in association with The Beryl Institute Patient Experience Conference.
At MUSC Health, senior leaders embrace innovation, collaboration, integrity, respect and compassion, all of which are required when addressing an ongoing commitment to engaging patient and family voices to support ongoing excellence in patient care delivery.
The NEC will complement the Institute’s Executive Board, Advisory Board, Resource Advisory Council and Global Patient and Family Advisory Council. Members are current nurse executives, representing a diverse range of organizations and perspectives, who exemplify a commitment to patient experience excellence and improvement through their organization.
