Marion Crawford of Crawford Strategy selected as speaker at Rotary Club of Greenville Career Day

Marion Crawford, CEO and founder of Crawford Strategy, a full-service agency committed to providing strategic and creative communications solutions to businesses, will serve as the Keynote Speaker for the Rotary Club of Greenville’s Career Day. This annual event will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Westin Poinsett Hotel from noon to 1:30 p.m. Crawford will share her career journey with up to 75 area high school students and their respective counselors.
“It is an honor to share my experience with these aspiring and accomplished students. I hope that something in my story will resonate with them and encourage them to pursue their dreams with passion,” said Crawford. “On the surface, my unique career path might look a bit more like a checker board than a straight line, but the steps along the way have helped me learn, grow and be a better business owner. I look forward to the conversation and am sure I will learn something from these talented young people.”
Career Day pairs high school students with Rotary volunteer mentors in the career field of the students’ choice for a half-day shadowing experience. The program is for select juniors and seniors from Greenville County high schools. The event reaches students who are seeking knowledge on careers of interest in a “hands-on” manner. The day includes a luncheon where students will participate in roundtables hosted by Rotarians in various occupations, followed by an opportunity to tour several downtown businesses to learn more about various careers.
Crawford is the founder and CEO of Crawford Strategy and oversees day-to-day operations, as well as public relations and business development for the company. Early in her career, she spent time as a writer and reporter for WSPA-TV in Spartanburg and later for WLOS-TV in Asheville. Crawford received her bachelor’s degree in English from University of Virginia.
