Marketing Magic – Increase your Ideal Clients’ repeat business

The timing and frequency of our offers is critical.
We must test the offers and track their results.
This will tell us which offers draw best.
And which lead to repeat business from Ideal Clients.
Anything less is guaranteed to fail.

For example, take the local newspapers we publish.
A strong readership is vital to us and our advertisers.
How we market our newspapers is important.
But that matters less than the quality of our products.
The newspapers’ value is key to renewal decisions.
Don’t put lipstick on a pig and call it something else.
You’re fooling no one, much less newspaper readers.
They are older, smarter and have more money.
They didn’t get that way by being gullible.

Direct response mail costs more but is targeted.
You control exactly who you want it to go to.
Self-mailers are cheaper to produce.
But they never outpull envelope enclosed letters.
All mailed offers need a letter and a response form.
All advertising needs an offer and how to respond.
Include a deadline and you’ll up the response rate.

Want to increase the dollar amount of their orders?
That’s easier than increasing response rates.
Raise results by offering your most popular products.
Test offers for your three most popular ones.
That will tell you which will pull the highest return.
Concentrate on that product in ads and direct mail.

Research says longer ad copy outpulls shorter copy.
Longer copy allows you to list more benefits and value.
It gives the prospect time to think about that value.
They must feel it to convince themselves to buy.
The same applies to radio and TV commercials.
A 60-second commercial will outpull a 30-second one.
TV support increases response from newspaper ads.
Multi-media campaigns raise results up to 50%.
