Profiling Ideal Clients and Prospects.
Profiling may sound like something police shouldn’t do.
Actually it is one of the smartest strategies for you.
You must know who your Ideal Prospects are.
Without that, you spray the market with your message.
You waste time and money on those you don’t want.
You must narrow your focus to those that you do.
The better we know them, the easier it is to attract them.
To convert them from prospects to clients.
And then from clients to advocates and apostles.
To retain them for life and have them in our sales force.
We call these prospect profiles “personas.”
They represent our Ideal Prospects and Clients.
They identify what our ideal target market needs and wants.
This helps meet their needs and wants better than anyone else..
Our Ideal Prospect personas help set up strategies for:
• Our market: Who they are in great detail.
• Our message: What they desire that we can offer.
• Our media: Where they are likely to see it and respond.
Your deep grasp of personas gives you direction.
Most important, they allow you to help real people.
We must know how to reach to them.
Then we can create offers they will respond to.
Know what challenges they face to create offers that help.
Personas are created using real data and experience.
Real data is gained through research.
Experience is what we already know about them.
It’s good idea to segment them into 3 to 5 personas.
We can segment our personas by:
• Age, gender and income.
• Where they live and in homes, condos, etc.
• What and who they like and associate with.
• What they buy and how much they will pay for it.
Don’t get hung up on this.
Start with what you know and build from there.
Pick everyone’s brains.
Who is most likely to buy from us.
Your personas will evolve with your understanding.
Write this down and add to it as you go.
