Mascot Mania: Celebrate New Year’s Eve with New Faces @ Hollywild
December 16, 2010INMAN, SC – December 16, 2010 – The wild side of Hollywild will take on a ‘sparkling’ new face on December 31st as Mascot Mania celebrates New Year’s Eve during the final stretch of the 2010 Holiday Lights Safari season.
The much larger-than-life size faces of area school, sports, and organization mascots will greet visitors to “The Walk” area of the Holiday Lights Safari on Friday night, December 31,2010 from 6 – 9 PM.
The Chapman High School Panther, Landrum High’s Cardinal, Polk County’s Wolverine, and Hollywild’s Kool Kat, are among the animal mascots with whom visitors can shake hands and take photos throughout the evening. Ronald McDonald will make his own special appearance during the event as well.
“We’re familiar with these faces stirring our excitement during ball games and special charity events, but now, we’ve invited them to help us celebrate New Year’s Eve – Hollywild style,” explained Hollywild’s assistant director, Mary Lee Rollins.
In addition to time with the special guests, children enjoy the magic of free sparklers, allowing them to create a personal light show while enjoying the other activities at “The Walk.”
At “The Walk,” a Santa’s Village style area of Hollywild, visitors will continue to enjoy the bonfires, animal feeding, pony rides, snacks, and photo opportunities that have provided family entertainment throughout the holiday season.
Admission is $6 per person (no per car rates) which includes admission to the Holiday Lights drive and The Walk.
Food for people and the animals and some activities (like pony rides) are available for additional fees. Group rates for 15 or more are available.
