McNair Joins SC Ports

CHARLESTON, SC – August 22, 2011 – The South Carolina PortsAuthority has hired Ted McNair as Marketing and Sales Representative ofBulk, Breakbulk and Project Cargo, responsible for trade development ofnon-containerized cargo for the Ports of Charleston and Georgetown. 

Previously, McNair was employed by Carolina-Pacific Briquetting, LLC,where he served as Mill Production and Procurement Manager of thecompany’s wood briquette production and bulk export facility at the Portof Georgetown. There he was responsible for all operations includingproduction, employment, procurement, vendor relations, inventorycontrol, and vessel loading. Prior to that, he was the SoutheastDistribution & Logistics Manager for Syngenta Seeds, a global seedand crop protection company.

McNair attended Clemson University where he earned a bachelors degree inenvironmental science as well as a masters degree in agriculture andapplied economics.
