McNair welcomes new Director of Marketing and Business Development

COLUMBIA, SC – McNair Law Firm announced Kathryn B. Whitaker has joined the firm as Director of Marketing and Business Development. In this role, she will work closely with the firm’s leadership and practice groups to develop and implement marketing and business development plans, while overseeing efforts to facilitate cross-office and cross-practice collaboration for the benefit of firm clients. Kathryn will also manage all aspects of the firm’s branding and marketing strategy, including communications, media and public relations.

Kathryn comes to McNair with more than 10 years’ experience advising law firms on business development and strategic communications. Her previous roles include overseeing the business development efforts for the Southeast region of a global law firm and managing the marketing function for regional law firms based in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Kathryn is a frequent speaker at legal marketing industry conferences and at programs hosted by the South Carolina Bar. She serves on the board of the Legal Marketing Association, as well as My Sister’s House, and is a member of the steering committee for Trident United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council. Kathryn earned her B.A. in Communication Studies from Clemson University.
