Millie Martin named Realtor Emeritus
July 7, 2017Millie Ann Martin, a Realtor® with Carolina One Real Estate’s Charleston Central office on Orleans Road, has been named Realtor® Emeritus by the National Association of Realtors®. A Realtor® since 1976, Mrs. Martin has held membership in one or more Associations of Realtors® for an accumulative period of 40 years.
Mrs. Martin, a native of McColl, SC has resided in the Charleston area for 48 years and has been affiliated with Carolina One’s Charleston Central office for more than 22 years. In addition to being named Realtor® Emeritus, Mrs. Martin is a Graduate of the Realtor® Institute (GRI), a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and is e-PRO certified, signifying knowledge of Internet marketing, social media and the latest real estate technology.
Prior to beginning her real estate career, Mrs. Martin was the manager and buyer for the Naval Officers Wives Bazaar on Guam and the owner of the Treasure Trove Gift Shop in the Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston. Mrs. Martin is married to Retired US Navy Commander Kenneth Martin and they have two children and 3 grandsons. Mrs. Martin is an active member of the Northbridge Terrace Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Director for 12 years.
A lover of travelling, Mrs. Martin has travelled to Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, China, Okinawa, the Philippines, Taiwan, England and Italy. She also enjoyed living in Scotland and in Guam. Mrs. Martin is particularly proud that she was able to visit Normandy, France on the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion in 2014.
