Moore Taylor’s Downey featured in Turnaround Management Association’s October 2017 issue

Moore Taylor Law Firm announces that Jane H. Downey, a partner at the firm, is featured in Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) October 2017 issue.

In the article, Downey discusses how her practice has changed since the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) was enacted, her pro bono work and how she manages swings in the economy as they relate to her practice. Check out the full article, here.

At Moore Taylor, Downey is certified by the S.C. Supreme Court as a Certified Specialist in bankruptcy and debtor/creditor law. She is also certified as a mediator and arbitrator. Downey represents creditors, debtors and unsecured creditor committees in chapter 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13 business and consumer cases, including bankruptcy litigation. She is on the list of mediators with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina.

Downey is one of five attorneys at Moore Taylor voted by their peers to be recognized as Super Lawyers by the national Super Lawyers magazine. She also serves on the editorial board of South Carolina Lawyer magazine and the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Committee. She volunteers her time with the state bar’s Ask-a-Lawyer program and is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy topics.
