Multiple Listing Service of Hilton Head Island hires former U.S. Marine for member services

The Multiple Listing Service of Hilton Head Island (HHIMLS) has hired Lance Sutton as its Member Services Associate. Sutton is responsible for providing support on all HHIMLS technology-based products, maintaining relationships with MLS members, assisting new members, and a host of other duties.
Sutton served five years in the United States Marine Corps before being honorably discharged as a corporal. He then earned two associates degrees in General Technology and Industrial Technology from Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort while serving as an intern at HHIMLS.
“Lance started as an intern with us, and we soon realized that his impressive versatility would make him a great permanent addition to our high-paced, extremely busy office,” said Colette Stevenson, chief operating officer at HHIMLS. “So we recruited him to take on two very important roles at HHIMLS – keeping our technology current and running smoothly, and providing member services, which is one of the most important aspects of our business.”
Always at the forefront of changing technologies and processes designed to help its members be more effective, the HHIMLS facilitates $3 billion in real estate transactions annually. It serves primarily as a data resource that provides its members with statistics, inventory information and trends. It also conducts member recruiting, delivers training for members, oversees a fully web-based core database, and provides a variety of other services agents need to be successful.
Sutton lives in Beaufort with his wife, Victoria. He plays bass guitar at Pentecostals of Beaufort Church in Lady’s Island. In the Marine Corps, he received a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and a Sea Service Ribbon.
