NAMI Charleston spreads holiday cheer through Giving Tuesday holiday drive donations

NAMI Charleston Area spreads Holiday Cheer through their Giving Tuesday Campaign, taking donations for their Holiday Drive.

NAMI seeks to use the Holiday funds to provide gifts for those who are admitted to the Institute of Psychiatry (IOP) at MUSC during the week of Christmas and New Years. This initiative includes youth and adults.

The Holiday campaign aligns with NAMI’s mission that they are here to ensure that no one is alone on their mental health journey. NAMI Charleston seeks to provide support, education, advocacy, and outreach to persons with mental illness and their families. NAMI does this through providing the local community with free classes, training, resources, and education.

“NAMI Charleston wants to spread joy to all affected by mental illness. NAMI Charleston cares now and throughout the new year. We are a community that supports wellness and recovery,” states Malinda Terry, NAMI Charleston Area Community Outreach Coordinator.
