In a move that further underscores Nexsen Pruet’s strategy to strengthen the legal services available to Upstate businesses, the firm announced today that Jim Warren has joined its Greenville location as a member (partner) in the Real Estate and Economic Development practice groups.
Warren’s arrival marks a critical step in the continued growth of and focus on Nexsen Pruet’s Greenville office, which most recently welcomed employment lawyers and commercial business litigators Mark Bakker and Sarah Sloan Batson.

Warren represents lenders, investors, developers, and public and private companies.
With a background in real estate law that spans more than two decades, he helps clients navigate the development and acquisition of retail, industrial, and commercial properties.
Warren further has a distinct understanding of state and local tax incentives that ensures clients can identify the right location and optimal benefit for their projects. He is also well versed in real estate litigation, financing, leasing, tax-deferred exchanges, and contributions of properties.
Warren earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina and Georgia.
