Nexton’s North Creek neighborhood named top community by Charleston Home Builders Association

Nexton, the most innovative and walkable community in South Carolina, received 10 awards honoring its work in marketing, design and customer experience as part of the 2021 PRISM Awards. Nexton took home marketing awards for Best Print Media Campaign and Best Information Center. Additionally, Nexton’s Arrogate Apartments were cited as Best Multifamily Community and its North Creek neighborhood was named Best Master-Planned Community.
Two Nexton team members, Bo Taylor and Alicia Smith, received accolades for their outstanding work in community relations. Taylor was acknowledged for his innovative Broker Relations Program, and Alicia Smith was recognized for her work with employees at major companies such as Volvo Cars, Mercedes Benz Vans and South Carolina Ports Authority, assisting with new hires and employees in need of short-term housing, apartment rentals or for-sale housing.
In addition, several of Nexton’s Midtown model homes were recognized for their design and merchandising, including by Ashton Woods Homes, David Weekly Homes and Homes by Dickerson. The judges selected Nexton based on a comprehensive list of criteria including design, innovation, planning and customer relations.

This year, the Charleston Home Builders Association’s (CHBA) PRISM Awards recognized excellence in the fields of sales, marketing, construction and the promotion of new homes. Since 1959, the CHBA has served as the leading non-profit organization dedicated to the future of the Lowcountry, encouraging growth and development within four counties – Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley and Colleton.
Nexton was recently recognized as the top master-planned community in the U.S. by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and was also named a Top 50 Selling Master-Planned Community in the U.S. by Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) in 2020.
