O’Neal Ranks No. 9 on 2014 Best Places to Work in South Carolina

GREENVILLE, SC -O’Neal, Inc., a Greenville-based integrated design and construction firm, has been named No. 9, in the large employer category, on the Best Places to Work in South Carolina list. The large employer category consists of companies who have 250 or more employees.
The annual competition is open to businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies in South Carolina. Finalists are based on a two-part process that includes the results of employer benefits and policy questionnaires, as well as employee engagement and satisfaction surveys.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in South Carolina, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The rankings of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina were unveiled at the annual awards ceremony on Thursday, August 8 in Columbia.

The annual list of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina is brought to you by SCBIZmagazine, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group. Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group evaluated the data collected from the participating companies and used its expertise to determine the final rankings.
