On Tap this Weekend in Laurens County

June 2, 2021

We live in a county that truly has something for everyone.

Friday night residents can kick off the weekend with “Friday Night Live” on the Square in Laurens.  Palmetto Brothers Dispensary, Main Street Laurens and The City of Laurens present FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE with Nashville recording artist Alex Key and The Locksmiths this Friday, June 4, 2021 at 7 pm. Wristbands are $2 and are required to take beer/ wine outside The Dispensary after 5 pm. Come out and enjoy a pint, a glass of wine or and some classic country music sounds on the Public Square this weekend!

“It has been tremendously exciting to see folks, from young families with little kids to our senior adults, enjoying our downtown every Friday night!  The mix of folks drawn together has been great,” said Laurens Mayor Senn “And, through the City’s partnership with Palmetto Brothers, each week this summer we’ll be able to get out, meet our friends and neighbors, and enjoy some fellowship, dining, music, shopping, free games, and all that Laurens has to offer.”

Saturday morning head over to Clinton to celebrate National Trails Day at Millers for Trail. The City of Clinton is partnering with Laurens County Parks & Recreation, Clinton Canopy and the Laurens County Trails Association to provide a day of family fun at Millers Fork Trail. Located near I26, Millers Fork Trail lies between Highway 56 and Highway 72. The trailhead is on West Corporate Center Drive, about ¼ mile from the new Quick Trip (QT). The event will take place from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and include a scenic bike ride, a one-mile fun run, the official ribbon cutting for the new Millers Fork Trail, guided trail tours and more. Full details on the event can be found in our original post.

Rest up after a day on the trail and head to Palmetto Brothers Dispensary Saturday night. Featured live music will be J Stephens, a one-man band singer songwriter based out of Spartanburg. He will perform from the indoor stage at the Dispensary beginning at 7 pm. Come early and get dinner at one of the restaurants on the square and then enjoy the live music at Palmetto Brothers.

If you’re still wondering what to do, consider taking in a movie. The Capitol Theatre is currently showing Cruella. Click here for more information about the movie and the show times.
