Parkland Plaza Shopping Center welcomes Columbia’s fourth Planet Fitness

Addition of major retailer a result of Cayce’s residential boom.

Cayce, which is just across the Congaree River from downtown Columbia and the University of South Carolina, is experiencing a renaissance of residential construction for students and professionals, and that construction is attracting interest from major retailers. Colliers International’s Rox Pollard and Danny Bonds recently brought Planet Fitness to Parkland Plaza Shopping Center, where it will join Bi-Lo, Ace Hardware, Jewelry Warehouse, AMF Park Lanes and D’s Wings.

With over 1,400 clubs, Planet Fitness has been ranked as one of the largest fitness franchises in the United States. Planet Fitness is known for its affordable $10 per month membership option and the judgement-free environment. This will be the fourth Planet Fitness club to come to the Columbia area. The Cayce location will be open and staffed 24 hours a day and will feature 28,000 square feet of cardio and strength equipment, as well as tanning and free fitness training.
