PC and Local Business Leaders Collaborating for Combined Success
December 8, 2022Last Friday, Dr. Matt vandenBerg. president of Presbyterian College joined Clinton city leaders, business owners and community stakeholders for coffee and conversation.
The meeting took place at Laila’s, the new ice cream parlor, and they provided doughnuts while the Vestibule provided coffee. The meeting was casual and collaborative. vandenBerg presented information on PC’s Innovative Service College initiative, their efforts at 112 Musgrove Street, and the desire to increase collaboration with the downtown business community.
Joseph Dyches, a local business owner and resident of Clinton initiated the meeting. “It is exciting to see PC evaluating and pursuing a specific market position that will distinguish them from other colleges. As the college moves forward I am hopeful that we can see a cross-pollination of ideas and strategies to the City and local business community. The future is bright,” said Dyches.
The crowd of 35 plus attending were actively engaged and several ideas were generated from the conversation. Additional meetings are planned.
