Performance Team Opens On-Terminal Transload Operation at Port of Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC – February 19, 2012 – One of the nation’s leading logistics providers is opening acontainer transloading facility at the Port of Charleston to speed itscustomers’ supply chains.

 

PerformanceTeam will operate out of the Wando Welch Terminal’s container freightstation, where the company will transload cargo from ocean-goingshipping container to truck for distribution to its network of customersthroughout the Southeast.

TheWando site is expected to handle both import and export cargo as thecompany continues to expand in the Southeast. Transloading the goodson-site allows for greater efficiencies, reduced cost and faster speedto market for retail imports.
