GREENVILLE, SC – January 26, 2012 – A local law firm that focuses on supporting and growing small business and entrepreneurs has become a Startup Master with the Startup America Partnership program.
The Startup America Partnership is a private organization working to help young companies succeed in order to accelerate job growth in America. They are bringing the private sector together to maximize the success of America’s entrepreneurs, and augment America’s competitiveness in an increasingly global world. They are an independent nonprofit entity (NGO) that was launched at the White House in early 2011.
Startup America Partnership’s goal is to create avenues and resources for entrepreneurs to cultivate new business ventures. Scott Pfeiffer, managing partner with Greenville-based Pfeiffer Gleaton Wyatt Hewitt, said his firm’s commitment to growing the Upstate business economy was the deciding factor to help bring Startup America to South Carolina.

Pfeiffer said his firm is looking to help companies get involved in Startup America Partnership. To qualify, a company must be a for-profit startup with at least two people (founders plus employees) founded since 2006, or a for-profit rampup or speedup with at least six people (founders plus employees) founded since 2001.
In return for registering, the companies will get:
- TOOLS: Startup America has tools to help Startup companies scale successfully. Companies will receive a Growth Kit includes over forty Startup America Only Offers from partners like Microsoft, American Express, Dell and Intuit with more being added weekly.
- COMMUNITY: Startup America ise creating a community of potential high growth startups in America – Entrepreneurs get connected with other entrepreneurs.
- FREE MARKETING: Startup America will celebrate your startup, list your startup on its web site, let Entrepreneurs guest blog and give your company a Startup America seal for your website and social media.
