Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group expands, becomes the largest fertility clinic in South Carolina

Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group (PREG)has acquired Advanced Fertility, creating the largest fertility clinic in South Carolina.

Founded in 2002 by Dr. John Nichols, PREG is a private infertility clinic. PREG’s in-house physicians, John Nichols, John Payne, James Holman and Travis McCoy specialize in advanced infertility treatments including IUI, IVF, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, tubal-reversal, and hysterosalpingography (HSG), plus other complex procedures. Dr. Gail Whitman-Elia, reproductive endocrinologist and founder of Advanced Fertility, joined the PREG family earlier in August. Bringing Dr. Whitman-Elia and Advanced Fertility under the PREG umbrella means that current and new patients will have access to larger treatment areas, including a state-of-the art IVF lab and two surgery suites on site in the new expanded facility.

PREG began seeing patients at 2324 Sunset Blvd, Columbia, S.C. on August 1, 2016. Existing patients will continue to see the same PREG physicians, office staff and nurses, along with Dr. Whitman-Elia and some additional administrative and support staff from the former Advanced Fertility clinic.
