Push Digital continues growth to fuel innovative digital marketing

February 20, 2018

Digital creative, crisis communications, issue advocacy and political campaign agency, Push Digital, announced today that it has launched two new divisions, opened a new office and hired new staff.

PUSH BRANDS
Founded as a political digital agency, Push Digital grew quickly and spun off a digital Advocacy Division in 2013, and in 2016 added a Creative Division with the acquisition of On Point Digital. Brands responded positively to the offering, and the agency has since developed work for name brands such as SeaWorld, HSN, Sears and Kmart. The success of these efforts has led to the creation of a new Corporate Division, Push Brands.

“Corporations are quickly learning that the twenty-four hour, seven days a week work and rapid speed required in a new digital age can best be accomplished by a team with a constant war-time mentality,” CEO Wesley Donehue said. “Our political DNA, no-BS attitude and solutions-based mentality make us uniquely qualified to move at a pace most can’t or won’t.”

To lead this new division, the agency has promoted Michael Rentiers to President, Corporate Communications. Michael has led the business’ brand clientele growth, helping to build the offering from the ground up and the agency now represents a number of name brand businesses. Michael started the advocacy practice when he joined in 2013, and will now focus 100% of his time on growing the corporate communications offering. Push Advocacy will now be led by new hire, Anna Henderson.

PUSH  COMMUNICATIONS & GRASS ROOTS
The agency has opened a new strategic communications and grassroots agency focused on non-digital communications based out of Columbia, South Carolina. The new division will be led by new hire, Greg Foster.

“The lines between offline and online no longer exist,” said Donehue. “Offline and online strategies must now co-exist. That requires us to get off our mobile devices and to get back to where we started, traditional communication and grassroots.”

NEW OFFICE
Push Digital recently opened a new Columbia, South Carolina office to handle its South Carolina advocacy, communications and grassroots efforts. The Push Campaign and Push Brand divisions will remain in Charleston, South Carolina along with the digital infrastructure divisions – advertising, creative, production, development and video. Also in the Charleston, South Carolina office are Push Digital investments Frothy Beard Brewing Company and Zombie Bob’s Pizza.

NEW HIRES/PROMOTIONS
To support the growth of new business, Push Digital has made 2 additional promotions and 9 new hires, organized below by role.

Anna Henderson, VP of Advocacy
New hire: Anna joins Push Digital’s Columbia team from the Motion Picture Association of America where she honed her skills as a government affairs specialist. As VP of Advocacy, she will lead a number of the agency’s political, trade association and policy organization clientele.

Greg Foster, President, Strategic Communications
New hire: As part of the Columbia expansion, Push Digital has brought on Greg Foster to serve as President of Strategic Communications. Because the agency’s digital services often track alongside traditional PR and grassroots advocacy, it has decided to build out a non-digital vertical helping clients in crisis, PR and legislative advocacy. Greg previously operated his own company, Foster Strategic Consulting, and was the Deputy Chief of Staff & Director of Communications for the former Speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives. Greg will service an existing client roster and will focus on expanding that vertical in South Carolina and beyond.

Matt Nichols: COO, Director of Business Development
Promotion: Matt has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, a first for the agency. Since he joined Push Digital in late 2016, Matt has served in a dual role, both leading new business and keeping the trains running inside the office. As COO, he will continue in those roles, adding our new office in Columbia to his purview.
