R. Wilder Harte joins Richardson Plowden’s Columbia office

Richardson Plowden & Robinson, P.A. announced that R. Wilder Harte has joined the Firm as associate attorney in the Columbia office. Harte will focus his practice in General Litigation.

Harte earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2013, where he was the recipient of the Robert T. Bockman Award and member of the First Place Mock Trial Team Competition. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wake Forest University in 2010.

Prior to joining Richardson Plowden, Harte served as Assistant Solicitor for the South Carolina Second Circuit Court Solicitor’s Office in Aiken, South Carolina. In 2015, he received the J. Strom Thurmond Award for Solicitor of the Year in the Second Circuit. From 2013-2014, Harte served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Perry M. Buckner. He has also clerked for another law firm in Columbia, and has worked as an intern for the Federal Public Defender’s Office, District of South Carolina. Harte is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association (SCDTAA), and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
