Richard Gregg White named new SBA South Carolina District Director

Gregg White has been named District Director for the South Carolina’s United States Small Business Administration (SBA) located in Columbia, South Carolina by the SBA National Office. Previously White was the Deputy District Director for the district. He has also served as a Program Director and Team Leader for USDA/Rural Development for South Carolina and the Southeast.
“One of our primary goals is to continue meeting the needs of our small business community in the state.” “We will achieve this by being effective and efficient in our operations and approach to serving the small business community,” stated White.
“I want everyone to know that the SBA is the place to go for small business assistance. In addition, the SBA and funded partners, Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) and SCORE, are always ready to provide counseling and technical assistance to small businesses in South Carolina.” stated White, District Director-SBA South Carolina District Office.
White graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Administrative Management and attended Eau Claire High. He has been in lending for over 35 years in both the private and public sectors. Also White has owned his own real estate, construction, tax service, rental service and landscaping businesses.
White has served on Chapin and Irmo, SC’s town councils and planning commissions. He is active in his church and has served as a deacon, chairman of the building committee, finance committee and their youth Royal Rangers Programs.
His hobbies include hunting, fishing, gardening and weight lifting. He has been happily married to Vonnie White for 43 plus years. He has 3 children and 7 grandkids in his quiver. His priorities have always been God, Family and Country.
