Richardson Plowden’s Douglas C. Baxter appointed Vice President of Claims and Litigation Management (CLM), South Carolina Chapter

Richardson Plowden & Robinson, P.A. announced that attorney Douglas C. Baxter was recently appointed vice president of the South Carolina Chapter of the Claims and Litigation Management (CLM). Baxter will serve a one-year term, beginning January 2017.

The CLM is the largest professional association in the insurance industry and the only organization created to meet the needs of professionals in the claims and litigation management industries. The CLM currently has more than 35,000 members and fellows across the nation.

Baxter focuses his practice in the areas of construction law, governmental liability defense, insurance defense, legal malpractice defense, products liability, and homeowners association disputes. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1985. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in 1982. He is admitted to practice in the states of South Carolina and Georgia. Baxter is a Certified Mediator in state and federal courts. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association (SCDTAA), and the South Carolina Bar.
