Richland Library Staff receive special honors

COLUMBIA, SC – Two Richland Library staff members are getting special attention in the community as we get ready to end the month of October. We are excited to share their following accomplishments:

Sarah Sullivan, Richland Library Chief Financial Officer, is the newly elected treasurer of the Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina, which promotes professionalism and trust surrounding those in charge of dealing with public funds. Her two-year term on the board starts January 1, 2016.Sullivan previously served on the board as director in 2011 as well as treasurer in 2012 and 2013.

Star-Shema HarrisStar-Shema Harris, Richland Library Development Coordinator, is one recipient of the Charlotte Lunsford Berry Spirit of Philathropy Scholarship, which will provide her with a one-year membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Carolina Chapter. She received the honor October 27 during the National Philanthropy Awards Luncheon, which is a celebration of exceptional individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to promoting goodwill and human welfare.
