Keenan Student Attends Summer Program at George Mason University
Someday you may see John Thomas, a senior at W.J. Keenan High School, as a network news journalist covering stories around the world. This summer Thomas got a jumpstart on his journalism career as a national youth correspondent. He was one of 250 students from across the nation selected to attend the Washington Journalism and Media Conference held on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition to learning the ins-and-outs of the media in an ever-changing world, Thomas gained valuable educational and professional insights from completing the one-credit course.
