Richland One announces finalists for top employee honors
April 25, 2024Richland One Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon has announced the finalists for the district’s 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year Awards.
“The finalists for these prestigious awards represent all of the members of our team who are working hard every day in their respective roles to help engage, educate and empower our students to achieve their potential and dreams,” said Dr. Witherspoon.
“Congratulations to all of the finalists.”
The new Richland One Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year will be announced May 10 during Celebration 2024, the district’s year-end employee recognition event.
Finalists for 2024-2025 Richland One Teacher of the Year
- Joseph Bell, fourth-grade English Language Arts and social studies teacher, Pine Grove Elementary School
- Katherine Bryant, eighth-grade English Language Arts teacher, Hand Middle School
- Susan Jones, first-grade teacher (English Language Arts, math, science, social studies and health), Satchel Ford Elementary School
- Katherine Pfrommer, visual arts teacher (grades 9-12), Dreher High School
- Chynna Wilson, eighth-grade math teacher, W.A. Perry Middle School
Finalists for 2024-2025 Richland One Classified Employee of the Year
- Marvin Ash, in-school suspension monitor, John P. Thomas Elementary School
- Elizabeth Cantey, administrative assistant, Alcorn Middle School
- Mark Davis, therapeutic assistant, Horrell Hill Elementary School
- David Edwards, budget manager, Office of Federal and State Programs
- Jermaine Gray, Sr., instructional assistant, W.A. Perry Middle School
- Anson Stroman, in-school suspension monitor, Arden Elementary School
