Romance in Marketing – The secrets of desire

‘Desire’ is a word that has been highly sexualized.
It doesn’t have to mean desire of a sexual nature.
Desire is critical in attracting and retaining clients.
You desire what you want — their business.
They desire what you can give them:
A solution, relief from pain, fulfillment of a dream.
Awakening desire is a key to attracting ideal prospects.
We desire prospects and client who desire our offers.
We don’t want those who do not care what that is.

Desire is about two factors, says Chen Lizra.
Chen is an author, dancer and entrepreneur.
It’s about knowing what we want.
Then being willing to go after it.
That means we must conquer our fear of rejection.
This is often a problem for many of us in business.
We should know what we want out of life.
But fear of failure can keep us from going after it.
We must overcome fear to become successful.

Part of desire is keeping possibilities alive.
This means answers are never just a straight “no.”
Instead, they are “maybe,” “later” or “not now.”.
Learn what pushes a prospect’s emotional buttons.
It may seem they have no desire. They hide it.
“Why’ questions often get to the real answer.
Ask probing, non-threatening questions.
• Where do you want to take your business?
• If you could do one thing you want, what is it?
• What is the home (car or vacation) of your dreams?
• What kind of college should your children attend?
Smile and keep it friendly and supportive.
