Word has gotten out about the experience offered at Rootimentary on the square in downtown Laurens. Traffic has increased dramatically and they need to hire more help to meet the demand.
Having received a taste of what restaurant excellence is like, several cooks are transitioning to new careers – one is starting culinary school and one landed a job in a restaurant in Charleston.
“Seeing someone want to make a career in the industry and work in a healthy environment is why we started this in the first place,” said owner and head chef, Caleb Satterfield.
Rootimentary is serving up delicious meals and providing first steps for those interested in a culinary career. The knowledge these two cooks have from their experience working at Rootimentary is a steppingstone for the next generation of culinary brilliance.
Rootimentary is also looking to staff up on bartenders and get them trained so when they are ready to open the speakeasy (date tbd) they will be more than prepared to meet the demand and out-deliver the service guests have come to expect.
