S.C. BlueChoiceHealthPlan Medicaid Welcomes McLeod Health to Network

COLUMBIA, SC – June 25, 2012 – BlueChoice® HealthPlan of SouthCarolina Medicaid is pleased to announce that Florence-based McLeodHealth has joined its statewide network of health care providers.
A multi-year agreement means that BlueChoice HealthPlan Medicaid memberswill receive in-network benefits at all five of the McLeod Healthhospitals located in the northeastern region of South Carolina, as wellas at McLeod Physician Associates offices in South Carolina. Thehospitals are in network effectiveMay 1, 2012. The physicians are beingadded to the network as they complete appropriate credentialingprocesses.
The hospitals within McLeod Health include McLeodRegionalMedicalCenterin Florence, McLeod Darlington, McLeodDillon, McLeod Loris and McLeodSeacoast in Little River, S.C. McLeod Health also operates more than 50primary care and specialty clinics in seven South Carolina counties:Florence, Darlington, Dillon, Horry, Lee, Marion and Sumter.
