Save and Sea the Magic at the South Carolina Aquarium while helping local flood victims

December 2, 2015

CHARLESTON, SC — It’s the perfect opportunity to help neighbors who’ve lost so much after historic flooding hit the Lowcountry this past October. Now through the end of December, guests who donate a new flashlight, blanket or child’s coat for flood victims will receive $5 off admission to the South Carolina Aquarium.

More than 300 families in Berkeley County were devastated after torrential downpours and flooding hit the area in early October. Those families are still recovering from the major disaster and are in need of assistance. The Aquarium is partnering with the local chapter of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul to collect items for those greatly impacted by the disaster. Guests who bring in a new flashlight, blanket or coat for a child (ages 4-14), will receive $5 off admission to the Aquarium. You can also make additional donations to Saint Vincent de Paul at 885-A Island Park Drive, Daniel Island, S.C. 29492, or call (843) 471-2121.
