SBA opens Disaster Loan Outreach Center in South Carolina

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that a Disaster Loan Outreach Center will open Wednesday, Sept. 16 to assist businesses and residents in applying for low-interest disaster loans. These loans are available due to SBA disaster declaration as a result of severe storms and flooding on Aug.30-31,2015.

Opens:              Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 9 a.m.
Hours:              9 a.m. to 6 p.m., weekdays
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday (closed Sunday)
Closes:              Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.

The disaster declaration includes the following counties: Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester andGeorgetown in South Carolina.

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.

Individuals and businesses may also obtain information and loan applications by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by emailing [email protected]. Loan applications can also be downloaded at www.sba.gov/disaster. Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Nov. 9, 2015.  The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 10, 2016.
