SC Retirement Investment Commission renews its lease in Capitol Center

The South Carolina Retirement Investment Commission has renewed its lease in Capitol Center, located at 1201 Main Street in Columbia. Colliers International’s Mary Winter Teaster and Allen Wilkerson represented the landlord in renewing 19,700 square feet of space in the center.
“We enjoyed working with the SC Retirement Investment Commission. The Commission has found great benefit being in the heart of downtown and adjacent to the South Carolina State House,” said Wilkerson, a Brokerage Associate.
Colliers’ leasing team has developed a mix of tenants for the building, including law firms, consulting firms and analytics companies, which has allowed for the building to maintain its place in the market.
Teaster and Wilkerson are both members of the Colliers office brokerage team. Teaster specializes in commercial office properties, assisting owners and users in the acquisition and disposition of space. Wilkerson specializes in corporate and landlord consulting services and representation of clients in the leasing and sale of office properties.
