SCDES, Lt. Governor Evette and partners launch new ‘Recycle Here SC’ phone app to make recycling easier in South Carolina

The new “Recycle Here SC” mobile phone app will be officially launched Nov. 15 as an innovative way to make recycling easier in South Carolina.
The free mobile phone app was developed through a partnership between the S.C. Department of Environmental Services (SCDES), PalmettoPride, and the S.C. Beverage Association. The app will consolidate information for South Carolina residents on what, where, and how to recycle different items at different locations across the state.
The launch of the Recycle Here SC mobile phone app coincides with America Recycles Day, which is celebrated every Nov. 15 to highlight the importance of recycling and how it protects the environment.
