August 26, 2024

The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) has announced its 2024-2025 class of 23 manufacturing leaders for the SC Manufacturing Leadership Program (SCMLP). The class is comprised of professionals representing a variety of manufacturing industry sectors and sizes ranging from family-owned to multinational corporations.

Created in 2023 by the SCMA in partnership with the Executive Education Center at the Darla Moore School of Business of the University of South Carolina, the SCMLP provides an intensive instructional experience from internationally recognized faculty, business leaders and subject matter experts from across the State’s manufacturing industry. Participants will complete areas of study such as Global Growth, Organizational Strategy, Advancements in Technology, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Culture, Leadership and Personal Development. The inaugural class of the SCMLP will graduate from the program on October 2, 2024 during the SC Manufacturing Summit.

“We are thrilled to build upon the success of our inaugural SCMLP class,” said Sara Hazzard, President and CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance. “Our 2024-2025 cohort, drawn from diverse industry sectors, bring unique perspectives and skillsets positioning them to excel in this one-of-a-kind program for emerging manufacturing leaders. This marks the beginning of another exciting chapter in fostering the growth and development of world-class manufacturing leaders and preparing them to drive our industry into the future.”

“Two Boeing leaders have been a part of the South Carolina Manufacturing Leadership Program, and I am encouraged by what they are accomplishing as part of the inaugural cohort,” said Lindsay Leonard, Senior Director of Government Operations for Boeing South Carolina. “This program not only allows the participants to have an in-depth look at manufacturing within the Palmetto State, but also facilitates experiences that showcase how South Carolina businesses tie into the global market.”

The SCMLP is made possible through the generous support of The Boeing Company, Dominion Energy, Duke Energy, and Sage Automotive Interiors.
