Ranked Eighth in the Small to Medium Size Category

COLUMBIA, SC –  SCRA today announced that they have been named a Best Place to Work in South Carolina. SCRA placed eighth in the Small to Medium sized business category, which consists of businesses with 15-249 full-time employees. The Best Places to Work initiative is designed to find and recognize the state’s best employers. The honor was presented at the annual awards dinner held last night in Columbia, S.C.

SCRA has consecutively been in the top 10 rankings, advancing from 10th place to 8th place over the past 4 years. Of the 50 companies recognized at the awards dinner, 13 are affiliated with the SCRA Technology Ventures’ SC Launch Program, are SCRA subcontractors or are Stage 2 co-investors.

“To be selected as the one of the Best Places to Work in S.C. for the fourth consecutive year is truly a distinctive honor,” said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. “I would like to thank each SCRA associate for their hard work and dedication to the company. This outcome is confirmation that we continue to help build an outstanding technology business ecosystem in South Carolina. We congratulate our colleagues and partners on winning this award, and we look forward to many future successes.”

The “Best Places to Work in South Carolina” program began in 2006 and has annually selected awardees in the small to medium business category and the large business category. This ninth annual program was created by SC Biz News in partnership with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group.
