Sheriar Press receives recognition in prestigious international print competition

August 17, 2017

Sheriar Press won two Certificates of Merit in the 2017 Premier Print Awards Competition held by Printing Industries of America. The competition is the graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious international competition. Of the more than 2,200 entries received in 2017, the work of Sheriar Press was chosen for exemplifying the highest standards in the printing industry.

Both awards were for pieces printed for Coastal Carolina University. CCU’s Tempo Fall 2016 Magazine won as an Internal Communications Piece. Tempo is a student-created quarterly magazine. CCU’s Imagine Coastal Carolina 2020 invitation won in the Invitation category.

“Each year, the field of entries attracts impressive work from some of the best printers in the world,” said Michael Makin, president and CEO of Printing Industries of America. “Only a small number of companies receive an award. The craftsmanship and hard work of Sheriar Press enabled them to produce award-winning pieces in the face of very stiff competition.”

In its 68th year, the annual print competition recognizes those responsible for the creation and production of superior print. The event promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in printed media.

“Once again, the commitment of our team to producing the highest quality work has been recognized at a national level of competition,” said Andy Lesnik, co-founder of Sheriar Press. “Sheriar has grown and evolved over the past 45 years to fit the changing needs of our clients. This kind of recognition is very satisfying to see.”
